The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) extended the yellow warning for several regions until the end of the week, covering the entire mainland territory.
At the same time, IPMA issued an alert for the presence of African dust in the atmosphere, which should affect weather conditions over the next few days.
For tomorrow, the Institute forecasts a rise in maximum temperatures across most of the territory, with values between 34 and 38 degrees Celsius.
In the inland regions located south of the Serra da Estrela, temperatures should reach higher values, around 40 to 42 degrees Celsius.
