The elections for the Federal Senate in São Paulo are scheduled for October 4, 2026, during the first round of the 2026 Elections. The state of São Paulo is the largest electoral college in Brazil, with more than 34 million eligible voters.
GLOBO published a complete list with the 15 candidates for Senate by São Paulo, including name, number and profile of each competitor. To vote for a Senate candidate, the voter must type the three-digit number on the electronic ballot and confirm on the green button, after checking the candidate's photo, name, number and party.
Among the attributions of a senator are monitoring the Executive Branch, creating a Parliamentary Investigation Committee (CPI) and approving or blocking presidential appointments. The article also offered tests so that voters could discover which candidate for governor of São Paulo or presidential candidate they most identify with.
