"Juntos Por Lordelo" asks for measures to stop floods from the Alvão mountain range

A Voz de Trás-os-Montes2 September 2026 at 10:44

The "Juntos por Lordelo" movement presented a proposal to stop floods from the Alvão mountain range. The initiative was presented by Bruno Alves, a member of the parish assembly elected through this movement.

The proposal arose in response to events that occurred between September 2025 and August of the same year, which included floods, flash floods, erosion and landslides of earth, mud and stones.

According to Bruno Alves, these occurrences affected various areas of the parish, namely Municipal Road 313, the Bairro das Cales, the Bairro do Conho, Giesteira, Ribada and the Bairro da Cal.

The situations were documented through photographs and video recordings collected at the locations, showing water accumulation, surface runoff, erosion, sediment transport and deposition of mud and stones on roads near houses.
