Nova University of Lisbon will inaugurate a new research hub in Mafra on September 10. The space will be installed in the National Palace and will be dedicated to the study of the relationship between music, technology and cultural heritage.
The hub will be associated with the university's Institute of Art and Technology. The space will operate with three specialized laboratories: musical acoustics laboratory, musical computing laboratory and digital heritage laboratory.
The laboratory equipment was financed by an unspecified entity in the article. The project represents an investment in the intersection between music, technology and preservation of cultural heritage.
