NASA astronaut Jessica Meir and Sophie Adenot from the European Space Agency (ESA) made history by carrying out an exclusively female spacewalk at the International Space Station (ISS). The mission lasted more than six hours and represented a rare milestone in space exploration.
With this spacewalk, the total number of spacewalks carried out exclusively by female teams rises to six. This fact makes the event particularly significant in the context of female representation at NASA and ESA.
During the mission, the two astronauts carried out various maintenance tasks on the ISS, contributing to the continuity of the orbital station's operation. The work carried out reinforces the importance of female presence in technically demanding space missions.
