The former social development director of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, claims he was pressured by Alexandre de Moraes, a minister of the Supreme Federal Court, to transfer money for the defense of his son, who is a judge of the court. Vorcaro also said he delivered 50 thousand dollars in cash to a Bolsonaro aide, in a case involving money requests made by Flavio Bolsonaro.
Haddad criticized Bolsonaro's posture, saying he cannot claim to be persecuted by the Judiciary while trying to influence investigations. The PT candidate defended that all facts be clarified and that those responsible be punished, regardless of who is involved.
The case also reignited the debate about the relationship between political power and the financial system in Brazil, with Haddad calling for transparency and accountability from all actors involved.
