Under the threat of a motion of censure from Chega to the Government, Luís Neves guarantees he will not resign

TVI Notícias1 September 2026 at 22:40

The Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, guaranteed that he will not resign, despite the threat of a motion of censure to the Government presented by Chega. The guarantee was given during an intervention in Madeira.

In his intervention, Luís Neves directly attacked the leader of Chega, André Ventura, accusing him of promoting lies and feeding political chaos in the country.

The Executive thus faces a motion of censure presented by the Chega party, which places pressure on the Government at this moment.

Luís Neves made it clear that nothing will remove him from his position, reiterating his intention to remain in the Executive even in the face of this political threat.
