The rapporteur of the PEC that proposes ending the 6x1 work scale, senator Osmar Aziz (PSD-AM), announced he will read his report in the Senate Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) this Wednesday, without modifications to the text. After receiving representatives from the productive sector, the parliamentarian reiterated his position of maintaining the original report.
Aziz stated he believes the proposal will be approved by the committee, despite the threat from opposition parliamentarians to resort to procedural maneuvers to delay the discussion. He highlighted that the matter is the first item on the agenda and defended the vote.
The rapporteur stated he will ask for a special calendar, such as waiving the mandatory interval, so that the PEC can be voted on before the elections. The proposal, which provides for changing the scale of six days of work for one day of rest, is considered President Lula's electoral banner.
The minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency expressed that the government expects the PEC to be approved before the elections.
