The Parque da Senhora do Salto, in Aguiar de Sousa, Paredes, hosts between September 11 and 13 the "Aldeia em Festa", an event that brings together local products, gastronomy, music and folklore. The initiative includes the VIII Giant Vegetables Contest of Paredes "The Biggest in My Village", which starts on Friday with the weighings of the products during the morning.
On Saturday, starting at 2:00 PM, the Horticultural and Local Products Fair opens, with entertainment by Amigos dos Bombos. The afternoon features a sunset between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to the sounds of DJ PIPE, followed at 9:30 PM by the Folklore and Traditional Music Meeting of Aguiar de Sousa, with performances by Rancho Folclórico de Aguiar de Sousa, Tuna Realense, Rancho Folclórico de S. Cristóvão de Nogueira and Grupo Folclórico e Etnográfico de Vieiros.
The last day of the party is reserved for gastronomy and prize delivery. At 1:00 PM there is the Gastronomic Contest with Pumpkins, followed at 3:00 PM by the delivery of prizes from the giant vegetables contest. The closing is scheduled for 4:00 PM with the performance of Renato Ribeiro.
Throughout the three days, the event aims to bring together community and visitors in a program that crosses local agricultural production with traditions, gastronomy and popular culture of Aguiar de Sousa, having as a backdrop the Natural Park of Senhora do Salto.
