Minister André Mendonça defended that the Supreme Federal Court (STF) analyze in Plenary new conversations attributed to Minister Alexandre de Moraes. The request occurs amid controversies about the content of these communications.
The conversations were extracted from the breaking of the seal of Vorcaro's phone, who is the target of investigations of Operation Compliance Zero. The case involves questions about the scope of investigations and the methods used to obtain evidence.
André Mendonça, who is also a member of the STF, argued that the matter should be considered by the complete collegiate of the Court, and not by a reduced panel of ministers. The defense of analysis by the Plenary seeks greater transparency and legitimacy in decisions about the case.
Operation Compliance Zero investigates alleged irregularities, and the breaking of Vorcaro's device's seal revealed these alleged conversations between ministers, generating debates about the role of the Supreme Court and the limits of investigations.
