Justice Dias Toffoli, from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), greenlit on Tuesday (1st) the digital campaign of Renan Santos, the candidate of Missão for President of the Republic. The decision reverses the restrictions imposed by the minister himself over the weekend.
With the new ruling, the campaign can now conduct electoral advertising on websites, blogs, social networks, messaging applications, and internet platforms registered with the Electoral Court's system. Toffoli also authorized the participation of Renan Santos in debates, interviews, and press conferences held on radio, television, podcasts, and other media outlets.
The candidacy regains access to Electoral Fund resources and is authorized to make expenses with already disbursed funds. The minister ordered digital platforms to restore the functioning of Renan Santos' profiles that had been suspended.
The decision, however, maintains the removal of these accounts from the platforms' recommendation systems.
