Between 10 and 11 years old: Moroccan youth detained for alleged sexual abuse of four children in Ceuta

A young Moroccan aged between 10 and 11 was detained for alleged sexual abuse of four children in Ceuta. The Spanish Civil Guard was responsible for detaining the minor, who allegedly committed the crimes inside the Piniers Center, a reception facility for migrant minors.

The Piniers Center is located in the El Príncipe neighborhood, one of the areas of the Spanish autonomous city used to host migrant minors. The facility was activated after the mass entry recorded at the Ceuta border at the end of July, when hundreds of minors crossed the border irregularly.

Spanish authorities are investigating the alleged abuse, which reportedly involved four children. The detained youth, being a minor, will be subject to protection and monitoring measures provided for under Spanish legislation for minors in conflict with the law.
