The US Central Command announced the beginning of attacks against targets of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This military action comes as a response to recent Iranian attack attempts in the Strait of Hormuz.
The targets hit specifically belong to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Iranian military arm that the United States considers a terrorist organization.
This is not the first time the USA have carried out military operations against targets in Iran. Tensions between the two countries have been escalating, with the Strait of Hormuz becoming an area of recurring confrontation.
The situation occurs in a context of growing instability in the Persian Gulf region, where several attack attempts have been registered in recent times, leading Washington to adopt preventive military measures.
