Fachin Is Who May Send to the Plenary the Case of Alexandre de Moraes

Minister Edson Fachin is the one who has the prerogative to bring to the plenary of the Supreme Federal Court the issue involving colleague Alexandre de Moraes within the scope of the Banco Master inquiry. This is an exclusive decision of the President of the Court.

Alexandre de Moraes may come to be included as a target of the Banco Master inquiry, if that is the determination of the full court. The reporting judge of the case, however, is not who decides on this inclusion.

The decision to bring the matter to the attention of the full court is exclusive to Edson Fachin in his capacity as President of the STF, and it is not up to the reporting judge to have this prerogative. The case has generated attention in the national legal scenario.
