The Minister of Education, Science and Innovation acknowledged today that second-phase candidates for higher education are the most disadvantaged by the delays in grading national exams. The official stated that, despite the calendar changes implemented, this is the most negative effect of the process.

These candidates represent approximately 10% of students entering higher education in Portugal. The minister acknowledged the importance of these students, although they were the most affected by the failures in the schedule.

The official expressed confidence that higher education institutions will have "mechanisms" to integrate these students who were disadvantaged by the exam delays. This situation highlights the difficulties faced by the assessment system this year.
