USA attack targets in Iran in new escalation of conflict

The United States launched attacks against targets of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iran, in a new escalation of the conflict between the two countries. The offensive was confirmed by the US Central Command (CENTCOM).

The attacks come following new Iranian attempts against commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz and against American military forces in the Middle East region.

This military action represents a significant increase in tensions between Washington and Tehran, raising the conflict to a new level after weeks of provocations and incidents in the Persian Gulf.
