Six sentenced to prison for drug trafficking

Six people were sentenced to prison for drug trafficking at the Leiria court. The trial involved nine men and a company, who were tried for a cocaine trafficking case.

The drug was imported from Ecuador and was hidden in frozen squid, which constituted the method used to try to hide the illicit substance during transport.

The case was tried in Leiria and resulted in convictions for six of the defendants, who will have to serve prison sentences.
