New GNR Station in Viana do Alentejo Awaiting Only the Hiring of Supervision to Move Forward – Luís Metrogos

Rádio Campanário1 September 2026 at 18:07

The construction project for the new Territorial Post of the GNR in Viana do Alentejo is in the final phase of administrative procedures and could move forward still this year. The president of the Municipal Council, Luís Metrogos, stated that the municipality has already submitted the latest data and documents requested by the Court of Auditors, with the process for the necessary approval of the project completed, although the exchange of documentation contributed to delaying the launch of the work.

The next step involves hiring the supervision of the project, a procedure provided for in the agreement established with the Ministry of Internal Administration (MAI). The Municipal Council carried out a budget amendment to allow this hiring. Because this is a project exceeding two million euros, the supervision must be provided by an external entity. Only after the company responsible for supervision is contracted will the project be formally handed over.

Luís Metrogos admitted that the work could start still in 2026, although the schedule depends on the hiring of supervision and the best way to plan the beginning of the work. The mayor warned, however, about the possibility of starting during the winter period, making it necessary to evaluate the most suitable conditions.

The mayor criticized the financing and execution model for these works, arguing that responsibility for security lies with the central government. "We are clearly helping the government in this matter, because it is a government responsibility," he stated, considering that municipalities are taking on a role of "benevolent partners with the State." Despite this position, he guaranteed that the municipality is available to move forward with the project. The work will be under the responsibility of the Municipality of Viana do Alentejo, while the financing will be provided through the MAI.

Jair Renan Asks for Votes for Esperidião Amin and Carlos Bolsonaro, but Leaves Michelle's Ally in SC Out of the Campaign Flyer

The campaign material attributed to Jair Renan Bolsonaro (PL-SC) asks for votes for Carlos Bolsonaro and Esperidião Amin for Senate, but excludes federal deputy Caroline de Toni, Michelle Bolsonaro's ally on the same ticket. The flyer also supports Jair Renan for federal deputy, Flavinho for president, Jorginho Mello for governor, and Camilo Martins for state deputy. Toni's exclusion occurs amid tensions in the Bolsonaro coalition in Santa Catarina, as Amin was passed over by Jorginho earlier this year to accommodate the ex-president's son.
