Master paid R$ 3.4 million to law firm of Moraes's wife 15 minutes after collection by Fábio Faria: 'Bald man cannot be late'

Master Bank made a payment of R$ 3.4 million to the law firm of Viviane Barci de Moraes, wife of Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes. The payment was made just 15 minutes after a collection made by former minister Fábio Faria.

Dialogues intercepted by the Federal Police reveal that Fábio Faria sent a message to Vorcaro at 2:58 PM on March 15, 2024, stating that he needed to "return to the bald man." Vorcaro responded that the contact would be with Angelo Silva, who was a partner at Master.

Faria then responded at 3:07 PM: "Tell them to pay him. The Bald man cannot be late," apparently referring to the payment to the law firm of Viviane Barci de Moraes.

In parallel, Vorcaro showed enormous irritation with the delay in payment, sending messages to Angelo at 3:05 PM in which he stated: "They haven't paid Barci de Moraes. Most important contract we have. I asked you not to fail. Surreal. We're going to have problems," ordering the payment immediately afterward.

USA: House of Representatives approves short-term funding and avoids 'shutdown'

The US House of Representatives approved temporary federal government funding until December 11, avoiding a 'shutdown' in the middle of the electoral campaign. The measure was approved by 370 votes to 48, having already received green light from the Senate, pending only President Donald Trump's signature. The article recalls recent government shutdowns, including one lasting 43 days at the end of last year and another lasting 76 days at the Department of Homeland Security, and describes the budget impasse between Republicans, who want to significantly increase military spending, and Democrats, who advocate a bipartisan approach with parity in programs.

Moraes to be investigated at the STF? Find out the next steps after revelations of messages with Vorcaro

Minister André Mendonça, of the STF, sent to the PGR the new elements gathered by the Federal Police regarding the alleged relationship between Alexandre de Moraes and the former owner of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro. The material includes messages attributed to Vorcaro involving Moraes and the Attorney General of Brazil, Paulo Gonet. There is still no formal investigation against Moraes, and any potential opening of an investigation will depend on analysis by the court's plenary. Jurists consulted by CBN point out that, given the involvement of members of the court itself and the PGR, Mendonça should avoid single-handed decisions before a collective assessment.
