The National Police Union (Sinapol) requested an urgent meeting with the Finance Minister, Miranda Sarmento. The request comes at a time of tension between the union and the government.
The Police Professionals' Union Association (ASPP/PSP) announced it will decide on September 10 what new forms of protest to adopt. This decision comes after months of deadlock in negotiations.
