The federal government sent to the National Congress, on Monday (the 31st), the Annual Budget Bill (PLOA) of 2027. The proposal includes, among other points, an increase in the minimum wage to R$ 1,741 and the creation and filling of 53,530 positions in the federal government for the next year.
Of this total, 4,704 are new vacancies and 48,826 are for filling, meaning the filling of already existing positions. Among the new vacancies, the PLOA provides for 1,868 for the Judiciary, 91 for the Public Defender's Office of the Union, and 2,745 for the Executive.
Regarding the filling of positions, the distribution is as follows: 330 positions for the Legislative, 3,263 for the Judiciary, 227 for the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Union and the National Council of the Public Prosecutor's Office, 92 for the Public Defender's Office of the Union, and 44,864 for the Executive.
The filling of positions can occur in various ways, including public competition, promotion, appointment, reassignment, return (in the case of voluntary retirees before the compulsory age), reintegration, and reconduction. The message now goes to the National Congress for processing.
