BE questions Government about decrease in social service coverage rate for elderly

The Left Bloc (BE) questioned the Government about the decrease in the coverage rate of social services for the elderly. Deputy Andreia Galvão was the party's voice in this interpelation, highlighting that the published data reveals significant regional asymmetries in access to these services. This issue arises in a context of concern about the State's capacity to respond to the growing needs of the Portuguese elderly population. The BE thus sought to pressure the executive to explain the reasons for this reduction in coverage and the consequences for the elderly and their families, particularly in the most disadvantaged regions.
