The space known as Garagem Atlântico, which operated for over 40 years in Porto as a bus terminal, will reopen in 2028 with a new vocation as a cultural space. The requalification project promises to give new life to this historic building in the city.
Before the renovation works begin, the space will open to the public for four days in September, allowing people from Porto to see the venue one last time before the transformation. This temporary opening will serve as a kind of farewell to the former bus terminal.
The reconversion project aims to maintain the memory of the building while giving it a new cultural function. Garagem Atlântico may host events, exhibitions and other cultural activities, integrating itself into the city's offering for residents and visitors.
