Three public service union structures affiliated with CGTP have called a national strike for general careers for October 2. The announcement was made this Tuesday by the National Federation of Trade Unions of Workers in Public and Social Functions (FNSTFPS).
The strike covers approximately 350,000 workers in central, local, regional and indirect services public administration. The strike is being organized by FNSTFPS, STAL and STML.
The unions are demanding the immediate valorization of general careers and recognition of the professional specificities of the workers covered. These structures represent a significant set of public employees in Portugal.
