The Spanish government approved a "shock plan" for Ceuta worth 309 million euros, aimed at reinforcing security and stability in the Spanish enclave located in north Africa. This plan comes in a context of growing concern over migratory pressure and the border situation in that territory.
Of the total of 309 million euros, 90 million euros will be specifically destined for reinforcing security in Ceuta. This investment contemplates the increase of human and material resources of the Spanish police and armed forces.
The plan thus includes a significant reinforcement of police and military presence in the enclave, with the objective of improving border control and responding to the security challenges that the city faces.
