The European Territorial Alliance (ETA) North Extremadura and Beira Baixa today demanded concrete commitments and binding schedules for the start of works on the cross-border connection with Spain. The demand arises in the context of the need to advance the infrastructure that will connect the two regions across the border. The ETA, which brings together entities from northern Spanish Extremadura and Portuguese Beira Baixa, has been pressing for greater dynamism in the realization of this cross-border project. The organization argues that defined and mandatory deadlines are needed so that the works can finally begin.
