The Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda will finance with 4,455,000 euros the project of the Universitat Jaume I for the construction of affordable rental flats for the university community. This funding will be destined for the construction of a new five-story building that will also include the urbanization of the surrounding area.

The preliminary project planned by the UJI provides for a minimum of 150 accommodation units, distributed in 48 apartments with two, three, and four bedrooms. The apartments will be fully equipped and will have common spaces shared by the residents.

The main objective of this project is to offer affordable rental housing for members of the university community, including students, professors, and administrative staff. The initiative arises in response to the need for housing in the university area.
