22 million euro residential development to be built in Viana

A residential development called GREEN HILLS Viana Residences, worth 22 million euros, will be built in Darque, in the municipality of Viana do Castelo. The project includes a total of 112 apartments, of which 58 will be commercialized, ranging from studio to T3 typologies, with prices between 165,000 and 445,000 euros. Completion of the works is expected between April and September 2028.

The development is promoted by Nova Atlantic and commercialization has been exclusively entrusted to ERA Viana do Castelo. The project was designed by the architecture firm Branco Cavaleiro & Associados, which sought to take advantage of the strategic location of the area, allowing future inhabitants to enjoy the proximity to the city, the river, and the beaches.

The official launch of the project is scheduled for this Friday at 5 PM.

Old boarding house transformed into student accommodation

The Municipality of Castelo Branco will rehabilitate the old building of Pensão Residencial Arraiana, on avenue 1º de Maio, to create a shared residence for students with capacity for 29 students. The competition for the elaboration of the project was approved unanimously by the municipal executive, which had previously acquired the property for 666 thousand euros. The project includes 22 accommodation units, including double rooms, individual studios and adapted rooms for people with reduced mobility, as well as common areas such as study rooms, library, leisure area and shared kitchen. The intervention will include the installation of an elevator to ensure accessibility, while maintaining the architectural style and the original appearance of the facade. The municipality states that this initiative aims to reinforce the offer of affordable accommodation for students, displaced young people, doctors and researchers, simultaneously promoting urban regeneration and local commerce.
