President of APAV goes to deputy ombudsman of Justice

The president of APAV (Portuguese Association for Victim Support), João Lázaro, will assume the position of deputy ombudsman of Justice. The dispatch that formalizes this appointment was signed by the Ombudsman.

According to the document, João Lázaro may combine his new duties with teaching or scientific research activities, as long as these are not remunerated. This condition is provided for in the rules applicable to the position.

APAV is an association dedicated to supporting crime victims. João Lázaro thus leaves the leadership of this organization to join the structure of the Ombudsman.
