Rio de Janeiro's Military Police arrested Júlio Luan da Silva Martins, 22 years old, who operated a drone for the Terceiro Comando Puro (TCP) in the Pantanal neighborhood, in Duque de Caxias, in Baixada Fluminense. The arrest was carried out on Monday afternoon during a monitoring operation conducted by the 15th BPM.

Martins was approached by agents who were conducting constant operations in the region, which is marked by territorial disputes between criminal groups. He confessed to the police that he worked for the faction that dominates the area.

According to the young man's statement to the agents, he received R$1,200 per week to carry out the monitoring. His function was to watch both the movements of the Military Police and those of members of the Comando Vermelho, the TCP's rival in the region.

The arrest is part of the ongoing operations by the 15th BPM in Baixada Fluminense, which faces a war scenario between factions for control of the territory.
