PS-M leader demands continuous strategy in fire prevention

The president of PS-Madeira, Célia Pessegueiro, today defended the urgent need for a continuous and integrated fire prevention strategy in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The socialist leader harshly criticized the Regional Government's inability to guarantee the maintenance of protection zones, considering that the regional executive has only resorted to ad hoc measures to try to mitigate the situation.

Célia Pessegueiro visited Terreiro da Luta to assess the state of execution and conservation of the firebreak zone in the city of Funchal. During the visit, the president of PS-Madeira personally evaluated the conditions of the existing prevention infrastructure in the region.
