The European Union discusses, this week, new forms of military support to Ukraine and possible sanctions against Russia. The discussion occurs due to the new escalation of Russian bombings and the increase of hybrid attacks attributed to Moscow on European territory. The meetings of the Defense and Foreign Affairs ministers of the bloc take place in Ireland between Tuesday (1st) and Wednesday (2nd).
The main concern of Europeans is to reinforce Ukrainian air defense. The head of European Union diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, stated that Russia intensifies bombings to cause the maximum suffering possible to the country's population.
According to Kallas, some European countries have interceptor missiles that could be sent to Kyiv. The Defense ministers will try to convince the governments that have these equipment to make donations to Ukraine.
