149 young people from Castelló request rental assistance in Castelló. And now what?

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General1 September 2026 at 12:33

A total of 149 young people from Castelló submitted their applications to obtain the rental assistance offered by the City Council of the city, after the deadline. This is the first time the municipality allocates 405,000 euros for this purpose.

The councilor for Housing, Ester Giner, stated that the main objective of this subsidy is "to respond to the greatest concern of Castellonense and Spanish society, which is access to housing, especially for the youngest."

The applications will now be examined to verify that all documentation submitted is correct. Subsequently, the evaluation and granting of aid will be carried out, which can cover up to 50% of the rental value, with a maximum of 800 euros per dwelling or room, for a maximum of 12 monthly installments.

If the documentation is incomplete, candidates will have a period of 10 working days to submit the correct documents. After that, the evaluation and ranking of applications by score will be made, followed by the proposal for granting the aid.
