Albuquerque guarantees support to PSP

The president of the Regional Government of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque, reaffirmed today the support of the Regional Executive for the Public Security Police, during the ceremonial session commemorating the 148th anniversary of the PSP Madeira Regional Command. The event took place at the Madeira Press Museum, in Câmara de Lobos.

Albuquerque highlighted the role of the PSP in the safety of the Madeiran population, stating that "the PSP in Madeira is exemplary" and that it is "a police force esteemed by our fellow citizens".

Within the scope of this support, the president of the Regional Government announced new investments in vehicles, computer equipment and the improvement of police stations in the region.

The anniversary of the PSP Madeira Regional Command marks 148 years of existence of the police force in the region, reinforcing the importance of the institution for the local community.
