Moreirense secured Leonardo Vonic for the attack, obtaining the player on loan from FC Porto until the end of the current season. The Croatian-German forward thus becomes the ninth signing of the Moreira de Cónegos club for the 2026/27 season.

Vonic arrived at FC Porto in 2023 and spent two seasons with the B team, where he made 40 appearances in the Segunda Liga and scored 14 goals. The player came through his youth career at Nuremberg in Germany, a club where he also began his senior career before moving on to Rot-Wess Essen.

The agreement between Moreirense and FC Porto includes a purchase option, allowing the Portuguese club to sign the forward permanently at the end of the season if they decide to exercise the clause.
