Public nurseries in Portugal continue to have a shortage of places. The available supply is far below existing demand, which means many Portuguese families face difficulties in finding a place for their children.
Luís Ribeiro, president of the Association of Early Childhood Education Professionals, comments on this situation. According to him, demand for public nurseries is significantly greater than the installed capacity.
