Sílvia Mata is the author responsible for giving voice to the memories of the community of São João de Latrão through a book titled "Histórias da...". The work collects and preserves the stories, speech, customs and ways of interpreting everyday life of the people of this locality.
The project aims to give new impetus to the traditions and cultural identity of São João de Latrão, allowing the experiences and knowledge of the population to be documented and shared. The content was originally published in Diário das Freguesias.
