Spain's Minister of Industry, Jordi Hereu, went to the headquarters of the Spanish Association of Tile and Ceramic Pavement Manufacturers (Ascer) in Castellón. This visit is unusual, as the last ministerial official to do so was Reyes Maroto, in February 2021, during the covid-19 pandemic.

However, the current context is marked by uncertainty in the Spanish ceramic sector, which motivated the minister's visit to the tile employers' association's facilities.

Jordi Hereu will tour Ascer's facilities accompanied by the association's top executives, at a time when the ceramic industry faces significant challenges.
