A Portuguese citizen was rescued alive in Nepal almost a week after the flash floods that hit the country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed, citing Nepali disaster management authorities. Two Portuguese women remain missing.
The floods that hit Nepal have already caused a thousand dead. More than 11,000 people have been rescued since the beginning of the disaster.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reported that there is a missing Portuguese person in Tibet, in China, a country that was also affected by the disaster. This case is being followed up in coordination with Chinese authorities.
