Sintra reinforces social support for education in the 2026/2027 school year

The Sintra Municipal Council approved a set of social support measures for the 2026/2027 school year. The measures aim to promote equal opportunities in access to education and combat school dropout in the municipality.

The approved initiatives intend to reinforce support for students and the most vulnerable families in the municipality. The main objective is to ensure that all students have the conditions to attend and complete their studies.

Participatory budget opens new edition with 280 thousand euros

The 12th edition of the participatory budget of the municipality of Vila Flor begins with a total allocation of 280 thousand euros, of which 250 thousand euros are destined for urban requalification and construction or requalification of public facilities, and 30 thousand euros for cultural and sports projects. The previous edition had 3,146 registered participants and 3,026 voters, with 117 proposals submitted since the first edition. The winning projects of the last edition focused on inclusion, with an inclusive playground in the infrastructural component and well-being activities such as yoga and meditation in the cultural and sports section. The municipality invites the people of Vila Flor to submit new proposals for this edition.
