Galatasaray officially confirmed it is in advanced negotiations to sign Deniz Gül, the Turkish international forward from FC Porto. The Portuguese club is expected to receive around 10 million euros for the permanent transfer of the forward.
Deniz Gül, who arrived at the Dragão as a reinforcement for this season, failed to establish himself in the Porto starting eleven. His spell at the blue and white club did not meet initial expectations.
The 23-year-old forward leaves FC Porto after a season and a half where he scored only a few goals in domestic and European competitions. His departure represents a financial gain for the dragons.
With the confirmation of negotiations by Galatasaray, the transfer is expected to be concluded shortly, ending the brief spell of the Turkish player in Portuguese football.
