CASTELO BRANCO: Municipality mobilizes to elevate Jardim do Paço to the 7 Wonders of Portugal

The Jardim do Paço Episcopal in Castelo Branco has reached the National Semi-Finals of the 2026 edition of the "7 Wonders of Portugal – Tourism" contest. The municipality is now mobilizing to ensure this space becomes one of the great wonders of the country.

The Jardim do Paço is described as one of the most emblematic symbols of Albicastrense heritage and identity. Its nomination for the semi-finals represents a significant recognition of the historical and cultural value of this space.

Public voting is underway, allowing citizens to contribute to elevating the garden to one of the seven wonders of Portugal. The municipality is appealing for active participation from the population in this process.
