Barquinha Jazz brings together three projects in three days of free entry concerts

Correio do Ribatejo1 September 2026 at 12:10

The Cultural Centre of Vila Nova da Barquinha hosts, from Friday to Sunday, another edition of Barquinha Jazz, a festival that brings together three musical projects over three days of concerts. The programme covers different languages of contemporary jazz and improvised music, as announced by the municipality of Vila Nova da Barquinha this Tuesday.

The event is promoted by the Municipal Council of Vila Nova da Barquinha in partnership with the Clube de Instrução e Recreio Extuna. Entry to all concerts is free, with no cost to the audience.

Barquinha Jazz thus returns for another edition, continuing a tradition that began in 2000, when the first edition of the festival took place. Over the years, the event has become a cultural reference in the region, bringing to the Cultural Centre of Vila Nova da Barquinha musicians and projects linked to jazz and improvised music.
