According to MeteoMira's monthly forecast, September in Portugal will begin with high temperatures and summer-like conditions, but a significant change is expected from mid-month. From the 18th onwards, a transition to a more unstable pattern is forecast, with a possible approach of a system with subtropical characteristics that will bring showers, thunderstorms and higher humidity, mainly affecting the Center and South of mainland Portugal. The regions south and east of the Montejunto-Estrela system could end the month with above-normal rainfall. In the Azores, instability should increase around the 4th, while Madeira will face showers associated with a north or northeast circulation in the first half of the month.
