A new store is opening in Felgueiras and will give free wine to anyone who shows up

Felgueiras Magazine1 September 2026 at 10:43

The Spanish chain PrimaPrix will inaugurate its store in Felgueiras on September 15th, on Rua das Maceiras, in the Felgueiras Commercial Park. To celebrate the opening, the brand will offer a bottle of wine to all customers who visit the space that day, as well as discounts of up to 60% on available products. The arrival of this store in the municipality had been awaited since June, when it was announced as the next novelty to be installed in that commercial space.

PrimaPrix operates under the mass consumption outlet concept, selling products from recognized international brands at reduced prices. The model is based on acquiring stock surplus, leftover seasonal promotional campaign items, recent launch products, packaging changes or articles with lower prices in other European markets. The offer includes food products, chocolates, cereals, snacks, beverages, hygiene and beauty articles, household cleaning products, as well as food and accessories for pets. The brand operates exclusively in physical stores, without offering online sales.

Founded in Madrid in 2015, PrimaPrix currently has more than 330 stores across Europe. The expansion in Portugal began in May 2025, with successive openings in Guimarães, Porto and Lisbon, followed by new stores in Coimbra, Viana do Castelo and Matosinhos, among other locations. The Felgueiras store joins this growing network, reinforcing the commercial offer of the municipality.

Almost everyone does this when using the oven, but it's increasing the electricity bill without realizing

Experts warn that repeatedly opening the oven door to check food can significantly increase energy consumption and, consequently, the electricity bill. Each time the door is opened, up to 20% of the accumulated heat inside the appliance can be lost, forcing it to work harder to recover the set temperature. Experts recommend using the interior light and observing food through the glass whenever possible, avoiding opening the door unnecessarily. The article also mentions other habits that contribute to higher energy expenditure, such as leaving the oven preheating for too long, opening the refrigerator frequently, or placing hot food inside, and suggests that small behavioral changes can help reduce electricity consumption at home.
