800 jet drones in four days: Russia is using a type of aircraft that is almost unreachable against Ukraine

Russia is using a type of jet drone that is practically unreachable by Ukrainian air defenses. In a period of just four days, approximately 800 of these jet aircraft were detected being used against Ukraine, representing a significant increase in the pace of Russian attacks.

The Ukrainian Air Force managed to shoot down between 88% and 90% of drones in general, a relatively high success rate. However, when it comes specifically to jet drones, the interception percentage is considerably lower, which makes these aircraft particularly effective in Russian military operations.

Jet drones fly at higher altitudes and higher speeds than conventional drones, which makes their detection and destruction by Ukrainian air defense systems more difficult. This technology allows Russia to strike targets deeper within Ukrainian territory with less risk to its operators.
