The Sintra Municipal Council will allocate financial support of 270 thousand euros to the Voluntary Fire Brigade corporations of Agualva-Cacém, Algueirão-Mem Martins and Sintra, destined for the acquisition of new rescue ambulances.
The investment aims to strengthen the available resources for providing rescue services in the municipality and improve the response capacity of the corporations in emergency situations, with an impact on the protection, rescue and safety of the population.
The president of the Sintra Municipal Council, Marco Almeida, stressed that the municipality's priority is to provide the corporations with adequate means to carry out their duties, ensuring that support for firefighters will continue to be one of the main priorities of the municipal executive.
