Mercado da Várzea hosts new music, dance and socializing initiative

The Mercado da Várzea, located in the Union of Parishes of Sintra, will host a new regular initiative called "Forró at Mercado da Várzea", promoted by the Sintra Municipal Council with the aim of revitalizing that municipal space.

The event takes place on the first Saturday of each month, between 4pm and 8pm, inviting the public to participate in an afternoon dedicated to music, dance and socializing.

The initiative aims to attract more visitors to the municipal markets, combining commercial activity with cultural and leisure moments, while also promoting local products and contact within the community.

The highlight goes to forró, a Brazilian traditional music genre and dance marked by the closeness between partners, which includes variants such as baião, xote, xaxado, university forró and electronic forró.
