Both sides accused each other of violating the terms of the pact. The US held Iran responsible for not complying with nuclear obligations, while Tehran criticized the American decision to withdraw from the agreement.
The negotiations to revitalize the agreement have been complex, with both parties seeking a solution that allows the restoration of the balance provided for in the original pact.
