The Spanish National Police arrested in Malaga the most wanted drug trafficker in Germany, who had been on the run for five years. The suspect, whose identity was not disclosed, had a European Arrest and Surrender Warrant issued against him for drug trafficking and criminal organization crimes.
The operation was carried out in collaboration with the German Federal Criminal Police Office, known as Bundeskriminalamt (BKA). The arrest occurred on Monday, August 24, when agents located the suspect traveling as a passenger in a vehicle driven by his brother.
According to information released by the Provincial Commission of Malaga, the investigation that led to the capture of the fugitive resulted from joint work between Spanish and German authorities, who managed to track his movements to the Spanish city.
